About Me
I graduated from Texas Christian University with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007, and began my career as a Registered Nurse in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). There, I fell in love with caring for babies, and quickly learned that caring for baby meant caring for mom as well. Now I'm a private practice lactation consultant, postpartum doula, podcaster, and homeschooling mom of three.
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
8 years working as a staff nurse in Level III NICUs
1 year as a Nurse Coordinator in high risk OBGYN at the Center for Advanced Fetal Care
1 year as a postpartum home-visit nurse and Certified Breastfeeding Educator for a Midwife-led Birth Center
Then in 2015, when my oldest child was a year old, I became an IBCLC and landed my dream job working as a lactation consultant for a local hospital where I got to work on the postpartum unit and in the NICU.
In 2016, I started this home visit lactation consultant business and in 2019, I was able to step down from hospital work and focus solely on private practice.
